EMC/Franklin Manufacturing Facility

A 720,000 SF high tech manufacturing facility was designed in a “Flash-Track” mode of construction. Veitas & Veitas assisted the owner to directly procure over 6,000 tons of structural steel, less than two months after the design team was released to proceed. Structural design started in late August of 1997, and steel erection commenced in December of 1997. Steel erected was topped off in February of 1998. Veitas & Veitas worked closely with the fabricator and erector to implement continuous changes and new program requirements. The manufacturing component of the structure was framed with fifty by fifty foot bays and floor loads on the second floor of 250 to 400 pounds per square foot.
