Munroe Apartments

An eight-story apartment building situated in downtown Quincy was designed over two levels of parking. The steel super-structure utilized a composite floor system above the retail uses to develop an efficient fire rating. The balance of the residential floors was framed with steel bar joists. The use of a concrete flat plate for the lower level parking minimized depth of construction below the water table elevation and eliminated the need to pump ground water.
