This six-story apartment structure was framed with structural steel and steel bar joists. The foundations are pile supported. The ground floor slab was designed as a structural slab to support the occupancy and under ground piping loads. The balconies were precast concrete supported from haunches welded to the steel columns. Moment frames utilized prequalified bolted seismic moment connections. The precast balconies were erected with the structural steel.
