Two Granite Avenue
Milton, MA

A five-story granite fired 110,000 SF office structure was designed.
Due to poor soil conditions the structure was supported on pressure
injected footings. The floor system was framed with composite beams.
Bracing was worked into stair, elevator and corridor walls to resist
lateral loads in the short building direction and moment frames were
used in the other direction. The thin granite façade was mounted
on steel trusses, which spanned forty feet from column to column.
Wind loads on the wall system were supported by additional attachments
to the spandrel beams.
