An existing shopping mall of 185,000 sf was sequentially reconstructed in phases to allow existing tenants to remain open. Existing conditions were surveyed to assess the impact of the phased reconstruction. During several phases the surviving structure required temporary lateral bracing. Existing footings were investigated and in certain cases reused.
