A five-story residential structure was designed over a one-story parking garage. The garage structure was designed to support prefabricated units stacked four stories. Veitas & Veitas Engineers, Inc. was also responsible for the structural design of the prefabricated units. The foundation design consisted of pile foundations with a combination of slab on grade and structural slab at grade. The building site presented another engineering challenge as a brook ran under the building. Piles and pile caps had to be installed outside of the banks of the brook and a structural slab was designed to span the brook.
